UPCAT deadline 2010

Fourth-year High School students reminded of deadline for UP admission test application on June 25

UP Mindanao University Registrar Prof. Cayamanda reminded fourth-year high school students and administrators that the deadline for submission of applications to the University of the Philippines College Admission Test (UPCAT) is on June 25, Friday. Applications must be delivered to post offices and courier services on or before that day. Qualified to apply are ALL incoming 4th-Year High School students who are graduating from High School in March-April 2011, and who wish to take their college education in U.P. in June 2011. Applications should be marked with the following address: OFFICE OF ADMISSIONS, UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES, DILIMAN, QUEZON CITY. Application forms for UPCAT are available from all concerned high school administrators or from the U.P. Website at “www.upcat.up.edu.ph”.  The UPCAT is set on August 7-8, 2010 in various testing places throughout the Mindanao region. For more information, interested parties can contact the Office of the University Registrar of UP Mindanao at telephone number (082) 293-0201.

New Segment on the Show

Most of you guys now know that I’m back at Killerbee.I do the WEEKEND RENEGADE RADIO - ALL REQUEST SHOW
every Sunday from 12noon to 3pm.
There will be a new segment on the show called Ainee’s Blind Items.
It will be blind items about people and/or places in Davao.
It will be about stories about good or bad experiences about a certain place in Davao. It could be a government office, a restaurant, a shop, boutique, a bar… etc. Also it could be about people from your school, your work or from your neighborhood.  It could be something good.. but we all know.. we like the juicy nasty stories… so do send them! I want you to share your experiences. We can keep your identity anonymous of course… But I would rather acknowledge you ON AIR! Online English Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Teach English to Koreans online using the company’s curriculum
• Help in other tasks such as giving tests to applicants, scoring student’s tests, making changes in the company’s curriculum, etc.

Requirements:

• Degree holder of any 4 to 5 year course, but degrees in Education/Mass Communications/Communication Arts and other related courses preferred
• English teaching experience especially with Korean students preferred
• Must be very patient and can handle pressure extremely well
• With pleasing personality
• Ability to multi task
• With neutral or American accent preferred
• Must be willing to work from 2 to 11 pm Mondays to Fridays, and 4 hours on Saturdays
• Must be willing to undergo paid 10-12 days training
• Living near Ortigas Center, Pasig preferred
• Females 20-35 years old preferred
• With good typing skills and internet savvy preferred
• Can start immediately
• Full and part time positions available
• Salary for Full time tutors : Php 10,000 to Php 15,000 basic salary + up to Php 10,000 incentives including all allowances
• Salary for part time tutors: Php 200 per 5 hours + Php 100 per actual class hour (6pm-11pm)

Should I go? Or not go?

people keep telling me to go..
the more i actually don’t want to go
what do they know about my feelings?
they don’t know.. they just know what should be done..
because that’s what they think should happen…
I think all things take time..
what happened was something simple but left so much damage in people’s hearts.. things shouldn’t have been said.. but it was said..
because we had to say it.. not because we wanted to hurt people..

so i think i shouldn’t go.. i’ll just wait for the storm to pass…
and then things will just naturally go back to normal…

just wondering when will that be.. sigh..

Actually, you can find a lot of other online teaching positions at Jobstreet. The only problem is there are only few companies that offer a homebased teaching position.  

My advice for those people who would like to apply for an online teaching position, please check www.jobstreet.com.ph 

Jobstreet even sends you a daily newsletter that matches you with the jobs you like. So I usually get informed about the new companies that would need online teachers and that’s what I put here.

For now, this is all I can help you with. If in the future I find out anything that might serve your interest, then I will post it here right away.

Busy as a Bee

I thought my days of being a bee was over.
I thought wrong!

Not that I’m going back to Killerbee. To be honest I have been offered to go back 2 weeks ago.  But I have decided to push through with this new career that I have.

Teaching online has proved to be very beneficial for me. 
I get to earn a lot and help my family.

I am planning to have my own online teaching company someday. 
It won’t be a big company though.
Just enough for me to earn a living — i guess! haha

If that happens, I will surely post something here! I promise!  

Anyway, my point of posting this entry was to express how busy I have been lately. Although I’m happy that I am because it means I will be earning.  But it’s just that there are a lot of simple thing in life that I miss. like asking my mom for my allowance.. waiting for another hosting job and get a load of money for working, having fun and partying all at the same time!  I miss those.  But teaching sure does makes my life more convenient.  It’s just that I don’t have much time to do the things I want to do.  Sigh..

I’m so busy now. sigh..
